Notes from Session

After contemplating over my seacond meeting with Paul Hazel he continued to express tha I needed to make sure all of my landscape images for my Dreamscape study should have at least two or three images relatbale and grounded so that the audience can understand the intended narrative in my final images.

Furthermore,after recycling some old metro newspapers I browsed through each paper to make sure there was some useful articles that I would use and I found a section in the metro called "Escape" which is a small holidays section of the paper. (figure a)

I observed  the holiday phonographs in the articles captured close ups of tourists legs walking along side a beach with the camel to represent a holiday to Morocco.

In addtion the loclal holiday advertisement section displayed a image of a father, mother and son (figure b)) displaying exited faces as they boarded a steampunk train for a local tour around the west midlands.

The steampunk image inspired me to recreate my zeppelin scene and when I return to Teflrod or venture to another country setting I will capture some mid shots of tourists observing the local landmarks in order to place my rendered 3d zeppelin next to them.

Dreamscape: Scene Shoot Session 1

Session Notes Early afternoon met with my subject and colleague Mantas and used him to pose while I shot him playing the key frames of the story. Despite some of the photographs looking well not all of my scenes were captured well due to his nervouness of the train leaving so I could not capture what was drawn and planned. Therefore, I have already prepared my other willing subjects to arrange a new shoot this time with a camera from the DAC and capture the scenes where the person is required to be on the train in a more relaxed and calm atmosphere. Concept Amendments

Session Notes Contemplated over switching the key colour in the dream sequences from purple to yellow. The reason for this is despite purple representing the pyschye, yellow not only is an existing colour used for sign warnings , but yellow lenses or the yellow spectrum light allows people to see sharply either at night or in general. Furthermore,once observing how many predatory animals such as the eagle possessed yellow iris. It lead to my conclusion of the character in my story gaining yellow eyes thus indicating when he can see through the yellow spectrum he is more visually aware of his environment and can find his escape out of the dream. ... Asset Preparation:CG Airship Session 1

Session Review After developing my investigation and concepts for some time, I decided to retunr to maya and continue developing my 3d skills by modelling a few test air ship bodies. A simple cylinder with ten sub divisions were used in order to match the foolds of the ballon in the reference image (figure a). Moreover, once I applied enough edge loops on the cylinder polygon it started to match the shape of the illustration. Figure A Furthermore, the balloon was surprisingly simple to create;however the small boat in the illustration was not the intended style of airship I wanted but I was going to replicate the drawing regardless. Instead I copied the balloon and created another passenger carriage that looked more like the carriage of a train (figure b).
