Dreamscape: Scene Shoot Session 1

Session Notes Early afternoon met with my subject and colleague Mantas and used him to pose while I shot him playing the key frames of the story. Despite some of the photographs looking well not all of my scenes were captured well due to his nervouness of the train leaving so I could not capture what was drawn and planned. Therefore, I have already prepared my other willing subjects to arrange a new shoot this time with a camera from the DAC and capture the scenes where the person is required to be on the train in a more relaxed and calm atmosphere. Interim Project Healthcheck

Session Notes The meeting with Paul Hazel went well considering he was pleased where my progress was with the project. Furthermore, he stated I should re-structure the theoretically pierce so I discuss the theory behind my creative decions rather then a purely scientific academical study on "escapism". In addition, returning home I caught a topic on BBC radio four concerning the "Uncommon Senses" which fueled my research and presented to me scientific explanations for my symbolism of the character eating an apple and gaining self awareness since eating food is a practice that engages all of our senses. Key Notes Interoception "eating food engages all of our senses" "Chill does not require sense of smell hence eating it in dry air or blocked noses" References http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b08km812 http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/science/extrasenses.shtml http://www.pc.rhul.ac.uk/sites/lab/index.php/research-themes-projects/in...

Dreamscape Story Concept Construction

Session Notes Met with Paul what was designed to be an interim review;however the meeting has been postponed for another two weeks on March the 24th until I compose all of my documents and files. Further we used the time to discuss the plan for the series of image I will create. Which thankfully we managed to simplify and ground the concept to conveying my message of self awareness by use of colour and imagery in the images. For instance the idea of having my character interact with a pigeon dream guide similar to the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland or Dorithies companions in the Wizard of Oz. Paul and I both agreed the pigeon may distract from the main story and instead we decided to have the protagonist interact with the objects on the zeppelin itself which serves fro him finding his awareness.
